I started Sweet Home a la Hannah for a simple reason: I love baking cakes. And I love seeing people enjoy cakes.

I often host weekend get-togethers in my Brooklyn apartment for as many friends will fit. Preparing food and entertaining bring me great joy. I began hosting occasional “cake parties” so I could try out new cake recipes, and they were a big hit.  With my friends’ support, I decided to turn that love of baking into something bigger.

A good cake should be delicious, from the first bite to the last. That is the mission of Sweet Home. My cakes are made with love from the best ingredients, and while they are not adorned with traditional decorations, they taste seriously awesome.

Some of my favorites include:

• Chocolate lavender cake with dark chocolate icing
• Brown butter lemon honey cake with lemon honey cream cheese icing
• Carrot-pineapple cake with orange maple cream cheese icing

I am able to accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions, including gluten-free and dairy-free. More information available on request.
